What begins as a rescue mission becomes a terrifying journey into paranoia, possession and the unknown, as the planet’s mysterious inhabitants reveal a deadly power over the explorers. Widely cited for its influence on later sci-fi horror classics, Planet of the Vampires remains a masterclass in atmosphere, production design and low-budget visual imagination.
