Richard Bone is a laid-back drifter who becomes connected to a murder investigation after witnessing something suspicious late at night. His friend Alex Cutter, a volatile Vietnam veteran, becomes convinced that a powerful local oil tycoon is tied to the crime and pushes Bone into a dangerous attempt to expose him.

Bleak, gripping and emotionally charged, Cutter’s Way has grown into one of the essential American noirs of the early 1980s.
