Luther the Geek Blu-ray delivers one of Troma’s most infamous and unhinged splatter shockers, a rural nightmare that fuses grindhouse brutality with freak-show mythology. Equal parts backwoods slasher and grotesque character study, the film stands as a cult favourite of late-era VHS horror excess.

As a child, Luther witnesses the disturbing spectacle of a carnival “geek,” a caged alcoholic performer driven to bite the heads off live chickens for liquor. The experience fractures his mind, leading to a series of murders that lands him behind bars for decades. Thirty years later, Luther is released on parole, fully transformed into a near-feral killing machine, communicating only through chicken clucks and armed with razor-sharp metal dentures.

Returning to a quiet rural town, Luther resumes his rampage, terrorizing the local population before taking a young mother and her family hostage in an isolated farmhouse. What follows is an escalating siege of sadistic violence, culminating in an ending infamous for its relentless intensity. Drawing comparisons to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Toxic Avenger, Luther the Geek embraces splatter cinema at its most vicious, absurd, and uncompromising.
