Frankie is a war veteran with no money, a troubled marriage, a severely deformed infant and friends consumed by addiction. Haunted by his experiences and unable to provide for his family, he wanders through a hostile city while his desperation and isolation continue to deepen.
 
Made on a tiny budget and driven by its grim depiction of post-war trauma, poverty and urban despair, Combat Shock became one of Troma’s most notorious cult releases and established Giovinazzo as a distinctive voice in underground independent filmmaking.
