As Hoffmann struggles through the monotony of his real-life work as a government clerk, his imagination pulls him into dazzling worlds of love, fire spirits and the mythical city of Atlantis.
 
Created with more than 150 handcrafted stop-motion puppets by legendary Russian animation studio Soyuzmultfilm, Hoffmaniada blends the dark fantasy atmosphere of The Nightmare Before Christmas with the theatrical grandeur of classical opera and European fairy tales.
