Weird Science Standard Edition 4K Ultra HD upgrades John Hughes’ outrageous 1985 teen sci-fi comedy with a restoration from a 4K scan of the original negative by Arrow Films. Blending adolescent wish-fulfilment fantasy with anarchic humour and an iconic 80s soundtrack, this cult favourite has never looked better.

Fed up with being social outcasts, high school misfits Gary (Anthony Michael Hall) and Wyatt (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) decide to take matters into their own hands — literally. Using a home computer and a lightning-charged power surge, they create the ultimate dream woman: Lisa (Kelly LeBrock). Smart, confident and mysteriously powerful, Lisa sets out to transform the boys’ lives. But between Wyatt’s unhinged older brother Chet (Bill Paxton) and a pair of relentless bullies (including a young Robert Downey Jr.), their newfound confidence will be put to the test.

Inspired by EC Comics and featuring the unforgettable title track by Oingo Boingo, Weird Science remains one of the most beloved and quotable teen comedies of the decade.
