A Generation follows a group of young people drawn into the Polish Resistance during Nazi occupation. Kanał depicts the desperate final days of the Warsaw Uprising as soldiers flee through the sewers beneath the city. Ashes and Diamonds takes place at the end of the war, exploring political transition and personal conflict through the story of a young resistance fighter assigned to carry out an assassination.
