Set inside a local video arcade, the film follows a chaotic group of employees, regulars and troublemakers as their beloved hangout becomes the target of an angry businessman determined to shut it down.
 
When Eugene arrives for his first day at the arcade under embarrassing circumstances, Jeff and Dorfus get pulled into a string of pranks, rivalries and arcade-fuelled chaos. Things get even wilder when King Vidiot and his high-tech crew invade the arcade, just as Joseph Rutter arrives looking for his daughter and decides the place must be closed for good.
 
Produced and directed by cult filmmaker Greydon Clark, Joysticks is a loud, silly and very early-1980s comedy packed with arcade culture, video game competition and teen-movie energy.
