The Mechanic 4K Ultra HD brings Charles Bronson’s classic 1970s crime thriller to collectors with a new HDR restoration from a 4K scan of the original camera negative.

Bronson stars as Arthur Bishop, a meticulous professional assassin known as a “Mechanic” — a hitman who specializes in making murders appear as accidents. Working for a powerful secretive organization, Bishop prides himself on his precision, discipline and ability to execute each assignment in a unique and carefully engineered way.

His orderly world begins to shift when he takes on a young protégé (Jan-Michael Vincent) who wants to learn the deadly craft. As the apprentice becomes more involved in Bishop’s dangerous profession, trust begins to erode and their partnership moves toward an inevitable and explosive confrontation.

Directed by Michael Winner and written by Lewis John Carlino, The Mechanic delivers hard-edged action, tense suspense and unforgettable performances, cementing its place as one of the definitive crime thrillers of the 1970s.
