The Love That Remains Blu-ray presents a tender and quietly unpredictable portrait of family, separation and the emotional ties that persist even after relationships change.

Set across four seasons in coastal Iceland, the film follows Anna and Magnus as they navigate life after the end of their relationship while continuing to raise their three children. Rather than focusing on rupture alone, the film observes the rhythms of domestic life in motion, finding meaning in ordinary moments, shifting emotions and the ongoing care that survives within a fractured family structure.

Director Hlynur Pálmason blends naturalism with touches of surrealism, balancing deadpan humour, intimacy and visual poetry against Iceland’s striking landscape. The result is a moving and unconventional study of family life, attentive to both its beauty and confusion.
