Joe Hallenbeck is a burned-out private investigator whose latest case pulls him into the orbit of Jimmy Dix, a former football star with a damaged career and plenty of enemies. When Jimmy’s girlfriend is killed, Joe and Jimmy are forced into an uneasy partnership that leads them through blackmail, politics and sports gambling.

Sharp, bruising and darkly funny, The Last Boy Scout pushes the buddy-action formula into more cynical neo-noir territory, with Tony Scott’s visual style and Shane Black’s dialogue driving the chaos.
