Gathered around a summer camp fire, a group of counsellors swap the grisly legend of Madman Marz — an axe-wielding farmer executed for murdering his family, whose body mysteriously vanished overnight. When one careless camper speaks his name aloud, the myth proves horrifyingly real, unleashing a night of savage kills, neon-lit chaos, and grimy regional horror energy that defines the golden age of hack-and-slash cinema.
 
Inspired by the same Cropsey urban legend that fueled The Burning, Madman stands out for its raw atmosphere, sleazy edge, and unrelenting pace. Directed by Joe Giannone and starring Gaylen Ross of Dawn of the Dead, the film delivers stripped-down slasher carnage with a mean streak that has earned it cult classic status. This limited edition release presents the film newly transferred from the original camera negative, accompanied by an exhaustive slate of interviews, commentaries, and archival material that trace Madman’s legacy across four decades.
