Jinsei Blu-ray presents Ryuya Suzuki’s 2025 Japanese animated drama, an ambitious independent anime feature written, directed, edited and entirely hand-drawn by Suzuki over eighteen months. Meaning “life” in Japanese, Jinsei follows one character across a hundred-year chronicle of identity, reinvention and self-discovery.
 
Voiced by rapper ACE COOL, the central character is known by different names throughout the chapters of his life. Across past, present and future, he becomes a J-pop idol, an outcast, a leader and an oracle, each stage pushing him closer to understanding who he is.
 
After a chance encounter with a transfer student, he begins training to become an idol, setting off a journey that moves beyond fame and superstardom into something more personal and mythic. Bold, handmade and visually distinctive, Jinsei announces Ryuya Suzuki as a striking new voice in independent animation.
