Jess Franco From Bangkok With Bullets Blu-ray presents two rarely seen mid-1980s adventure thrillers from cult director Jess Franco, making their worldwide Blu-ray premieres from new 4K scans of the original camera negatives. Blending Eurospy intrigue with Franco’s distinctive style, these unusual entries in the director’s vast filmography showcase his brief detour away from horror and erotica into globe-trotting crime adventures.
 
Trip to Bangkok, Coffin Included stars Francoverse icon Howard Vernon as a cantankerous British agent pursuing a sinister cult leader. Bangkok, Date with Death unleashes a colourful crime tale of pirates, kidnappers and kung fu killers led by Franco’s longtime collaborator Lina Romay. Though made on a shoestring budget, the films cleverly incorporate exterior footage shot in Thailand to create the illusion of exotic international intrigue.
 
Both films are presented alongside new interviews and instalments of Severin’s extensive documentary series exploring Franco’s filmmaking locations and legacy.
