Four high school friends in a KISS tribute band are determined to make it to Detroit to see their idols live. After Jam’s mother discovers and destroys their concert tickets, the group hits the road and begins an increasingly chaotic mission involving scams, theft, bad decisions and anything else that might get them through the arena doors.
 
Set against the backdrop of 1970s rock culture, Detroit Rock City combines road-trip comedy with a soundtrack featuring KISS, AC/DC, Van Halen and more. The cast includes Edward Furlong, Giuseppe Andrews, James DeBello, Sam Huntington, Melanie Lynskey, Natasha Lyonne and Lin Shaye.
