Dear Zachary: A Letter To A Son About His Father Blu-ray presents Kurt Kuenne’s deeply personal 2008 documentary, originally created as a cinematic letter for the son of his late friend, Dr. Andrew Bagby. What begins as a tribute to a beloved friend becomes a devastating true-crime documentary about grief, family, justice and the people left behind after an unimaginable loss.

After Andrew Bagby is killed in Pennsylvania, the prime suspect leaves the United States for St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she later announces she is pregnant with Andrew’s child. Hoping to help the boy know the father he would never meet, Kuenne begins gathering memories, stories and footage from the people who loved Andrew most.

As events unfold, the film shifts focus to Andrew’s parents, David and Kathleen Bagby, and their fight to protect their grandson Zachary. Emotional, urgent and unforgettable, Dear Zachary remains one of the most powerful documentary portraits of love, loss and resilience.
