Cuddly Toys Blu-ray presents Kansas Bowling’s confrontational underground feature in its Blu-ray debut from Vinegar Syndrome Pictures. Framed as a twisted educational exposé, the film explores the dangers facing teenage girls through a series of interwoven case studies that spiral into exploitation, manipulation, and violence.
 
A grimy modern riff on “Schoolgirl Report” shockers by way of mondo cinema, Cuddly Toys was a years-in-the-making passion project from Bowling (B.C. Butcher). Shot entirely on Super 16mm and featuring an eclectic cast of nearly 100 performers, the film embraces abrasive satire, lo-fi texture, and a deliberately provocative tone. Anchored by an offbeat soundtrack including tracks by The Monkees and Scott Walker, it channels the raw unpredictability of vintage exploitation while filtering it through Bowling’s singular voice.
