Bye Bye Brazil Blu-ray presents Carlos Diegues’s celebrated road film in a new 4K restoration, capturing a nation in transition as modern media collides with fading traditions. Blending romance, social observation, and melancholy humour, the film follows a travelling troupe navigating the vast distances between Brazil’s coastline and the Amazon.

As the Caravana Rolidei drifts from town to town, its performers offer magic, dance, and spectacle to communities increasingly distracted by television and progress. When a young accordion player and his pregnant wife join the caravan, shifting desires and financial pressures strain relationships and force difficult choices. What unfolds is a lyrical portrait of love, compromise, and survival at the margins of a changing country.

A cornerstone of late-1970s Brazilian cinema, Bye Bye Brazil balances intimacy with sweeping cultural commentary. Film Movement Classics presents the film on Blu-ray with a fresh restoration and select supplemental features, housed in a limited slipcover edition for collectors.
