Hell Of The Living Dead 4K Ultra HD marks the North American UHD premiere of one of the most infamous and gloriously unhinged entries in Italian zombie cinema. Originally conceived as a serious global apocalypse screenplay titled Virus by Claudio Fragasso and Rossella Drudi, the project was transformed under the direction of Bruno Mattei into a chaotic explosion of jungle mayhem, recycled footage, gratuitous excess, and relentless flesh-eating horror.
 
When a top-secret biomedical experiment goes catastrophically wrong, a four-man commando unit and a fearless reporter are dispatched into the jungle, only to face ravenous hordes of zombies and an onslaught of madness that escalates with every scene. Featuring Margie Newton, Franco Garofalo, and a notorious soundtrack liberally “borrowed” from Goblin, the film is also known under multiple titles including Virus, Night Of The Zombies, and Zombie Creeping Flesh.
 
Equal parts audacious, absurd, and compulsively watchable, Hell Of The Living Dead stands as a quintessential example of Italian exploitation cinema at its most shameless. Newly scanned in 4K from the original camera negative, this release presents the film in its best-ever presentation alongside a deep slate of interviews and archival extras.
