UFOria 4K Ultra HD brings the long-lost cult oddity back to Earth in a brand-new restoration, finally giving this offbeat sci-fi comedy the presentation it has deserved for decades. Directed by John Binder, UFOria blends small-town Americana, romantic comedy, and extraterrestrial obsession into a warm, weird, and deeply charming slice of 1980s cult cinema.

Cindy Williams stars as Arlene, a free-spirited revivalist convinced humanity’s salvation lies in an impending UFO landing. When her drifting boyfriend (Fred Ward) reconnects with an opportunistic preacher friend (Harry Dean Stanton), the trio decide to cash in on Arlene’s prophecy by charging admission to the landing site. What begins as a con quickly spirals into something far stranger, as the possibility emerges that Arlene’s vision may not be delusion after all.

Released in 1985 and scarcely seen since its VHS days, UFOria stands as a uniquely heartfelt genre hybrid — part rural romance, part cosmic comedy — buoyed by an eccentric cast and an earnest belief in wonder. This 4K Ultra HD edition restores the film from the original camera negative, preserving its homespun charm while delivering a substantial leap in image quality.
