Throw Momma from the Train 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray brings Danny DeVito’s dark comedy classic to life in a brand new Dolby Vision restoration from a 4K scan of the original camera negative. Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train, this wickedly funny 1980s comedy pairs Billy Crystal and DeVito in a hilariously twisted plot about revenge, murder… and motherly problems.

Billy Crystal stars as Larry Donner, a frustrated writing instructor whose ex-wife has stolen his novel and turned it into a bestseller. One of his most unusual students is Owen Lift (Danny DeVito), a painfully shy man tormented by his domineering and cruel mother. When Owen overhears Larry fantasizing about revenge, he proposes a dark solution: they should “swap murders,” each eliminating the other’s problem.

What follows is a series of increasingly absurd and chaotic situations as Owen becomes dangerously serious about the plan. Anchored by Anne Ramsey’s unforgettable, Oscar-nominated performance as the monstrous Momma Lift, Throw Momma from the Train remains one of the sharpest and funniest black comedies of the decade.
