Gifted with the ability to communicate telepathically with animals, Sheena becomes the protector of her people when political intrigue and invasion threaten their land. Shot entirely in Kenya, the film blends pulpy adventure, fantasy spectacle and sweeping locations that have earned it lasting cult status.
 
The 2000 television series stars Gena Lee Nolin as a modern reimagining of the character. Across two seasons and 35 episodes, Sheena defends an African paradise from exploitation and outside forces, using mystical shape-shifting abilities learned from her tribe. The series expands the mythology with serialized storytelling rooted in action, fantasy and adventure television.
