After the events of the original film, Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) has been placed in foster care following the destruction of the Chucky doll. But when the toy company responsible for the Good Guy line reconstructs the doll to prove it was never dangerous, Chucky (Brad Dourif) is resurrected once again.
 
Determined to transfer his soul into Andy’s body, the murderous doll resumes his relentless pursuit. With the adults around him refusing to believe his warnings, Andy must rely on his new foster sister Kyle (Christine Elise) to survive Chucky’s latest killing spree.
